Happiness may be a warm puppy, but long-term peace of mind for you and your family can also come from that warm puppy if you opt for the proper training and breed. With more than 30 years of experience training and placing German Shepherd protection dogs in the Raleigh and Durham area, the Wayne Simanovich team provides both the proper instruction and ideal breed.
Our facility is based in Conover, North Carolina, only about 2.5 hours from the triangle of Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill. We can easily place dogs in homes in the triangle area and nearby Cary. We can even include on-site training where we help your new dog become acclimated to your home and family.
Benefits of a ‘Shutzhund’
While we may not know the German term for “warm puppy,” we do know the word for protection dog is Shutzhund. And we also know the German Shepherd tops the list as the foremost breed for the task. These smart, fearless and extremely loyal dogs have a way of knowing which people are friends and which are enemies, allowing them to blend seamlessly into your family.
They have an acute ability to sense impending danger and can often take action to divert it before it even occurs. As lovable and beautiful dogs, German Shepherds additionally make terrific companions for you and your family.
The mere sight of a security dog is frequently enough of a deterrent to scare off potential predators, and that’s not the only reason they outweigh various other protection methods. Security systems can have a delay, firearms can’t wake you up at night, and restraining orders are pretty much worthless.
