Protection Dogs in Charlotte, NC

Family protection can sound like an ominous term, but the Wayne Simanovich team can provide a security method that is actually be more warm and cozy than it is scary. That method is one of our German Shepherd protection dogs. We train and place our German Shepherds to individuals and families in the Charlotte metro area, spanning to include North Carolina’s Huntersville, Gastonia, Concord, Mooresville and Matthews, along with South Carolina’s Fort Mill and Rock Hill.

We do the training at our home base in Conover, NC, which is only about 30 to 45 minutes from the Charlotte area. We can also provide on-site training to help your dog get acclimated to your family. Our German Shepherds may be working dogs, but they are first and foremost family members that we can help ensure make an ideal fit.

Benefits of a Protection Dog

Having a four-legged family member ready to protect you and your loved ones can bring you an ongoing peace of mind. It’s also a preferable choice over many other methods. Home security systems often come with a lag time. Restraining orders are notoriously ineffective. A firearm can’t bark you awake in the middle of the night. And just the sight of one of our dogs in your home or by your side is often enough to deter would-be predators and thieves.

The German word for protection dog is Schutzhund, and the German Shepherd makes an ideal breed for the job. Not only are they extremely loyal once you establish a bond, but they can be taught to sense danger and jump into action before danger may even arise. They have an innate sense of who is your enemy and who is your friend, allowing them to blend safely and naturally into the family structure.
